I’ve been working towards feeling my best for as long as I can remember. As a young girl, my appearance was put on a pedestal and its importance seemed to trump everything else. Being my type-A, Capricorn self (fellow Caps, you know), I dove headfirst into research. It was a long and dark hole to go down - diets, weight loss “tricks”, programs promising immediate results. All of the information out there left me feeling totally lost.
I started exploring the world of nutrition, using myself as a guinea pig and fine tuning the foods I put into my body. Finally, I felt better in my body and mind. When you start to eat well, you feel better, who would have thought? And when you feel better, everything else gets easier. After 8 years of personal research, I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied over 100 different dietary theories and multiple practical lifestyle coaching methods. As a Certified Holistic Health Coach and movement teacher, I’ve dedicated my life to the pursuit of wellness and inner connection. What started as my personal journey has evolved into a mission to help others feel their best every day.
The most beautiful part about all of this is that we have a say in the matter. The decisions that we make shape our destiny, whether that means eating fast food, moving across the country, or brushing our teeth. We decide. Over time, these decisions that we make actually form who we are. With consistent effort, intention and guidance, we are fully capable of living the lives that we desire.
